The Ally Bee Fireside Knitted Wool Blanket is like having a chunky super sweater to wrap up in in your home, it is so very cozy and warm. The soft natural cream blends effortlessly with any home decor. This knitted blanket is crafted from dye-free Cream Bluefaced Leicester wool – sometimes boasted as the ‘cashmere of Britain’ due to the soft handle and lustrous sheen. Made in a textured knit, the blanket throw enjoys a high loft and softness rarely found in other British wools.

Knit structure: chunky textured knit with ‘links-links’ knitted seamless edging.

Dimensions: 150 x 100cm / 59″ x 39″

British Bluefaced Leicester wool

Our 100% British Bluefaced Leicester wool is sourced from a mill in Yorkshire that uses fleece obtained through the British Wool Marketing Board. No other wools of foreign origin are added to this wool. The yarn in this product is dye-free. Note: British sheep are not mulesed because fly-strike is not prevalent in the United Kingdom.

Manufacturing & Fair Labour

This Ally Bee item is crafted in a small family-run knitwear factory in England. The process uses a 'seamless' circular knitting technique on knitwear machines, resulting in minimal yarn wastage and precision accuracy. While no factory audits are carried out by Ally Bee, our long-standing working relationship with the factory and visits to meet the owners gives us ongoing assurance of favourable work conditions and employment standards.

Ally Bee is committed to spinning a sustainable yarn and the yarn in this item is completely dye-free. Alpaca yarns in this item are natural colour blends made from combinations of the many shades in the alpaca fleece colour palette. As a result, these colours are free of chlorine bleach, are acrylic-free.

 Sustainability Values

Sustainability is intrinsic across the Ally Bee supply chain - from the sourcing of sustainable yarns, to manufacturing in small quantities to avoid the little discussed fashion industry practice of ‘dead-stock’ dumping, to our paper packaging, tags and plastic-free packaging tape.
