About this cashmere - saved from a life of obscurity

End-of-line cones of yarn leftover by a knitwear manufacturer in Nottingham were counted up during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown and we've created designs around these small quantities of vibrant remnant colours, ensuring these precious threads find a good home and live a long life.

While virgin cashmere without a strict environmental certification is not a yarn Ally Bee would normally source, 2020 has demanded creative thinking and bringing to life this over-stock was too good an opportunity to let it go to waste. Todd & Duncan are renowned for the quality and softness of their Scottish-spun cashmere yarns and assert that they promote animal welfare and sustainable herd management with their Mongolian fibre suppliers. 2020 - the year to get creative, cut waste and take stock!
